So. I did it. I published my website.

It’s quite anti-climactic, really. I don’t know what I expected. A massive influx of likes, messages and comments? The phone keeps ringing. Ellen DeGeneres is emailing. Maybe not. (That’s a lie).

Anyway, so what is this all about... Generation Impact. Here’s the story:

The Story behind Generation Impact (The short version)

I have been incredibly privileged to get many opportunities so far. Moreover, I have met incredibly inspiring people, organizations and heard amazing stories. All of this has empowered me not only to believe that I CAN make a change but also know HOW to make a change.

"To make a change, you need to know how to make a change"

Working with youth from all over the world in the past four years I know how determined our generation is to make an impact, to “change the world” - and if it’s just by changing one other person’s life. But sometimes we don’t know where to start.

That’s why I wanted to create a website that helps with that. A free platform with links, resources, information, opportunities and events that help you make the impact that you want to have.

It starts by using change-making apps and reducing food waste. You can scale it up by volunteering - online, abroad or locally. Or you can create your own initiatives or social enterprises to touch hundreds of people’s lives. Wherever you are on that journey, I want to make sure that you know that there are so many websites, resources and organizations out there who can help you make that change happen. All the resources are already out there. All I am doing is gathering them in blogposts.

My second aim for Generation Impact is that I hope to connect people not only to resources but to each other.

I will be hosting online discussions around topics like how to raise money or how to keep yourself motivated or how to deal with failure. I hope that this will not only facilitate learning but also collaboration!

Well.. We’ll see how it goes. And how it goes depends on YOU! If you are reading this right now (which already makes me incredibly happy) check out my website and see how you can make the world a better place. And maybe you have requests for more information, more blogposts I should write? Maybe you have feedback? Criticism? I would love to get in touch, so please reach out. And if you think the website would benefit some friends - share it.

Thank you and Generate Impact!
